The audio really sounds terrible on the original VHS tape. Most of the songs are (mercifully) buried in the soundtrack as ambient music. You can improve the sound a little with iTunes' equalizer, but there's not much that would truly help this dreck.

Most of it is just bad early-80's pseudo-rock like the "My Sharona" ripoff "Ball and Chain" and the poor-man's "Free Bird", "Canaries". But I think the filmmakers, even with their lousy taste, must have realized how bad "Down at the Arcade" and "Vidiots" were.
